Noosa Whale Illustration Workshop 8 yrs+

For children who love to draw, love whales and love the environment.

It’s whale season on the Sunshine Coast so it’s the perfect opportunity to use these amazing animals as our inspiration for our art work.

We will spend two and a half hours exploring their features, drawing them, painting them and discovering how they have come back from the brink of extinction. These majestic animals are truely inspiring and they give us hope that we can turn things around as every year their numbers are rising.

They focus of this workshop is to explore new techniques and to experiment with a wet-in-wet watercolour technique. All art materials are provided.

Can the children please bring a water bottle, a snack and their creativity.

A portion of the workshop will be donated to Twinnies who have been rescuing and treating Pelicans and sea birds on the SunshineCoast for over 16 years.


Each child receives a free Kerry Ide Illustration turtle sticker and will complete a their own watercolour whale on a quality watercolour paper.

Caloundra Drawing Games Workshop 8yrs +

For children who love to create and explore their own unique drawing style.

Come along for two hours of fun and creativity as we play drawing games. This workshop is guaranteed to spark your child’s imagination and get them excited about drawing.

We will be experimenting with pastels, colouring pencils and felt pens to bring our characters to life. All drawing materials are provided. Children are welcome to bring a water bottle, a snack and their creativity.

Every child will receive a free Kerry Ide Illustration sticker.

The two main activities we explore are:

  1. Dice Monsters - children will participate in a game where we roll the dice to create our own unique and quirky monsters.

  2. Pavement Crack Animals - Using photographs of cracks in the pavement, the children will explore the shapes made from these cracks to create their very own unique animal characters.
