The Creative Process

‘A Restful Moment’ was inspired by some sightings of Kingfishers, while kayaking on a little water way at Currimundi, on the Sunshine Coast. Drawing this little bird was on my to do list when one showed up in my backyard. This is the first time we had ever had a visit from a Forest Kingfisher in the 20 plus years we have lived here, so I thought it was a sign to start drawing.

The original artwork was created with Prismacolour pencils on black art paper.
