‘Koah’ is one of my limited edition Giclée Fine Art Reproduction Print.

“Koah’ was inspired by a photo by Jan Rainbird, local Maleny photographer. I wanted to pay tribute to our beautiful Koalas, they are one of our many precious Australian animals that are facing extinction from a variety of reasons, but a big one is loss of habitat.

This artwork was created in a three part process. Firstly I drew a graphite sketch which mapped out the tonal values of the piece. I scanned this, reduced the opacity and printed the sketch onto a piece of drawing paper. In the second stage I used a biro to do a detailed ink drawing on top, Finally, the artwork was then scanned into the computer and the colouring process was added using my Wacom tablet and pen. All processes are hand drawn.

This artwork has been printed on archival 100% Cotton, 308GSm Photo Rag Paper using UltraChrome HDX archival inks tested to 75 years colour fastness.
